Anna Sowa is a documentary film producer with a strong background in international affairs policy and academic research. After completing her BA in Arabic with International Relations, Anna continued her professional and academic interest in international development at SOAS, University of London where she graduated with a distinction MSc Migration, Mobility and Development. She is a PhD by practice candidate at the London Film School/ University of Exeter researching the role of the producer in collaborative documentary filmmaking.
Remi Sowa is an award-winning social documentarian and the founder and creative director at Chouette Films- a green film production company committed to using film as a tool for social change, specialised in working with NGOs and academia. Through work at Chouette Films Remi pursues his passion and professional interest in documentary film for social change. His work has been recognised at a number of international film festivals including the 14th Al Jazeera Documentary Film Festival.
Kellen co-founded Cicla Brasil to strengthen communication between waste picker associations and businesses in an effort to bring this marginalized group into the formal economy. Among its services, Cicla Brasil offers technical advice to the National Movement of Waste Pickers, helps develop business plans for waste picker’s organizations, and develops tools to guide private investment. Kellen hopes to expand operations in other countries in Latin America and, subsequently, in Asia and Africa.
